Research
( 2 items )
Curing childhood cancers of all kinds is the ultimate goal of all of Candlelighters’ work. We support the many efforts of researchers here in Utah and around the world in their work to find the ultimate cures for childhood cancers. We also support their work in making treatments for childhood cancers easier on children, more accessible, and affordable. Clinical trials are a major part of these research efforts. Unlike adult cancer research, many children are engaged in clinical trials during their course of treatment at Primary Children’s Medical Center. We support this good work, and look forward to the day when all childhood cancers are cured.

Cancer Information
( 8 items )
No-one should get cancer, especially children. Fortunately, less than one percent of US children are ever diagnosed with cancer. And for these children generally, more than seventy percent of them survive their cancer experience and lead long and productive lives. If you, as a parent, ever feel that there is an issue with your child’s health, please ask your pediatrician. In most cases, it won’t be cancer. And for those few who are diagnosed with cancer, there are many resources to help your family. Rocky Mountain Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer is here to help you, your child and family.
