Rocky Mountain Candlelighters is a federal nonprofit 501(c)(3)corporation that relies solely on our community for financial contributions and support. We write grants, seek individual donations, and hold fundraisers to assure the continued success of the programs we offer. Our organization receives no state or federal funding, nor do we receive assistance from the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation national office. There are many ways you as a community person can offer help to Candlelighters. Please take some time to read this over as we can not successful service these families without your help. Donate Online: Donations are always welcome, and events are available for corporate sponsorship; please contact our office or donate online on our secure server.
Community Health Charities and United Way: Make Candlelighters your designated recipient for your Community Health Charities and United Way contributions please check the "other" box and write in:
Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer Donate a car: Are you thinking of selling or trading that old car, boat, or RV? Why not donate it instead? Candlelighters has partnered with Car Program, LLC to provide an easy-to-use, tax-deductible process to donate your vehicle. As a charitable contribution, your donation could make a big difference to Candlelighters! If you're interested, click here to fill out our form. Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are important assets to our non-profit organization. It is important to us to see our funding go directly back to the families; therefore, we have a very small paid staff. We rely heavily on volunteers to help with programs, office duties and events. Each volunteer goes through an application process, a background check, and a short training prior to beginning volunteer duties. Internships: Year-round internships in the area of marketing/communications, fundraising, and program services are available. We are usually looking for students who need internships as part of their degree program and can commit to 10 hours a week over a few months. Download the Volunteer Application in PDF Format, fill out and fax it to 801-487-7845. Note: You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't have it, you can download it for free at Adobe's Web site. In need of: We give each newly diagnosed family a bag full of basic survival items, including a toothbrush, hair brush, digital thermometer, a camera and more. If you are interested in seeing the list of items needed to supply these bags, please call the Candlelighters office at (801) 487-7844 ext. 34. |
